I am so Grateful.

Treatment by Carol Haave, RScP

In La Jolla, CA today.  It’s the start of a beautiful day with the ocean whispering in the wind and kids already screeching in sheer joy by the pool — it’s 7AM here.

On this day, I am grateful.  I am grateful for that which is God — the alpha and the omega, the infinite.  I am grateful for my time here on earth and the beauty that surrounds me every day.  I am grateful for my family and friends and all my blessings.  In this moment, I know that God is here.  I know that I can “reach out” with my mind and get the answers to whatever questions I have in this very instant, if I remain open and listen for that still, small voice within.  I know that I am not alone and that I have nothing to fear.  I own the best of who I am and eliminate my fears by taking that next best step as I listen to my internal guidance system.  God leads me forever forward to my highest and best calling.
Grateful for my time here and for all my blessings, I know that not just for myself but for others as well.  As each of us “owns” the best of who we are, we change the future in ways that can’t even be imagined.  Knowing the power of my words and the collective thought of all who read this, I release these words to the Great Manifestor knowing that they are as true now as they ever were and will ever be.  And so it is.

Traveling Through Life

Treament by Ed Preston, RScP

I’m in the middle of an 11 day trip through Heaven on Earth.  Four days are devoted to being with children, & grand children & family, in Mississippi, & Florida.  Four days are also for being with long time friends who were all members of our Center a long time ago.  And three days have been solely for driving through beautiful countryside and towns and cities that we love.  And, driving is absolutely my favorite sport.

Treatment

I am seeing God everywhere I look, in the rich and beautiful Southern Pine forests, in the cars I pass and the cars passing me, in the pigs and rabbits and chickens of our co-grandparents’ petting farm, in the radiating ripples from ducks on our friends’ pond, and in the rich fields of cotton and peanuts everywhere we look.

I see the Divine glory of it all as I view the shoreline of the Gulf of Mexico approaching Sarasota.  I unite again with friends each day, being present in their Divinity and mine.  We are One, again.

I realize my life in Form is a truly  Divine life in which we all share.  In just eleven days it spans from Fairfax to Macomb, and Hattiesburg and Dothan and Headland and Sarasota and Venice and St. Augustine and back to Fairfax.  What goes around and comes around also loves around.  I sway and soar with the reality of this life as I move through it.  It is my life and I love sharing it with all of you as our life.

When I love my life so much, I also love all the lives around me and we share in our gratitude for life.  We all travel through life finding times and places to simply be together.  I feel that togetherness with all who share this email list and I am grateful for the power of these words as I share them and release them into the Law of this beautiful life.  My Gratitude and Release fit perfectly together and are connected today by I-10 and I-75, And I-95.  I just follow my path on the open road.

     And so it is.  Amen.

Macbeth: Choice, Consequences, and Karma

This past Saturday, Suzanne and I went to see the opening of the new season of the Metropolitan Opera Live in HD. They were presenting Macbeth, featuring an all-star cast, including baritone Zeljko Lucic in the title role, the brilliant and beautiful Anna Netrebko as Lady Macbeth, bass Rene Pape as Banquo, and tenor Joseph Calleja as Macduff.

Most of us know the basic plot of “The Scottish Play,” and Verdi’s lovely score is quite faithful to Shakespeare’s play from which the opera is adapted. Macbeth is a Scottish general. He and Banquo are returning home from battle when they encounter three witches who prophesy that Macbeth will be made Thane of Cawdor, then King, but that Banquo’s offspring will be kings after Macbeth. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth invite King Duncan to the castle and kill him. Macbeth becomes king. He later has Banquo killed. Banquo’s ghost haunts him, but Banquo’s son escapes. Macbeth is given more prophecies, to beware of Macduff, that “no man born of woman” can harm him, and that he is safe until Birnam Wood marches on his castle. Macduff and Malcolm (Duncan’s son) show up with English troops, meet Macbeth in Birnam Wood, and kill him.

Macbeth, the play and opera, carries some important lessons. One of our Center’s founding ministers, Rev. Noel McInnis, used to say that evil was “insistence on birth at the wrong time.” The prophecy is that Macbeth will be king, not that he is to be king right away. By killing Duncan, he pushes the prophecy to happen at a time when it is not supposed to. Macbeth is making something happen, not letting it happen. One of our great spiritual challenges is to get out of the way and let Spirit work through us. Macbeth kills Duncan to make his kingship happen rather than letting it happen. He kills Banquo because he is haunted by the thought of Banquo’s offspring becoming kings. In that case, he is trying to prevent something from happening.

It also tells us not to be distracted by the “shiny objects” of this world, such as power. Chasing “shiny objects” like power can bring negative consequences. Instead, we must align with Spirit to bring about the good that is ours.

In her interview, Miss Netrebko said that she loves playing characters like Lady Macbeth because they enable her to let out her darker side. New Thought songwriter Daniel Nahmod says that our dark side is not necessarily bad, just the side we don’t choose to let out. But as Macbeth shows us, if we don’t let out that side, it can turn malignant. We need to express who we truly are as fully as we can.

Finally, we learn that karma is always at work. By his murders, Macbeth sets off a chain of causation that ultimately results in his own death and that of his queen. Every choice we make carries consequences. Even not choosing carries consequences. While we are always choosing, we do not always control the consequences of our choices.

All in all, it was a very worthwhile afternoon.

Boundless Love and Possibilities

Treatment by Rev. Faith Woods

As I come to this holy moment, I recognize that the power of Love is all there is. Love beyond the breadth, the depth and the height I can imagine.  Love that only my soul knows. This love is all inclusive, with peace, abundance and eternal well-being found within the Loving Presence. This boundless Love raises my awareness. Every leaf, each grain of sand, and every person shines in my mind’s eye as Love – reflecting the abundant nature of the power and Presence of One.

This power that creates universes and worlds created me and flows continuously through me. I open myself to this love that surrounds and permeates me. I recognize that the inclusivity of Love can exclude no one and no thing, therefore I am Love incarnate. As I breathe, it must be love that I am breathing. As I walk and talk and recognize truth, it must be truth that I am living in. The peace, well-being and abundance that are found within Love are found within my being also. I relax into it the spaciousness of Love. As I know this truth and accept it for me, I recognize and accept it for you.

I speak my word from this sacred space.

Possibilities open before me as I release all arguments of lack, all sense of not enoughness, and all ideas of “should”. I release any sensible argument for me not being fully present to the greatness, wonder and awe of this Life. I open and accept the truth of plenty, and more than I can imagine. I accept the truth that Centers for Spiritual Living is a way-shower of Love as the norm. I bless our philosophy as a path that includes peace and beauty, respect and camaraderie.  I see Celebration Center as a community gathering place where beauty is seen and spoken freely. Expansive awareness flows into the heart and mind of each one and truly our Center becomes a beacon of Love.

Powerfully and quickly I release this prayer into the law of God, the law of reflection. It is done and I believe.

And so it is.

Blessings,

Change by Opening Up and Expanding our Consciousness through Spiritual Practices

Treatment by Rich Kurasiewicz, RScP

This is the first week of Autumn—the cool temps and the rain reminded us of that before it got warmer.  The leaves are beginning to change color and will continue to do so.  Yet, while things change, they also remain the same. We, too, can change by opening up and expanding our consciousness through spiritual practices. As we become more and more conscious of the Truth, It sets us free as we accept God’s love and Good and as we co-create our lives as the activity of God as love in the world. And so we pray….

God is the Power and the Presence—the Living Spirt Almighty: in all, over all, through and throughout all. God is Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent; the Alpha and the Omega and the entire Universe, created out of the Self-givingness and Self-knowingness out of itself—God stuff, spiritual substance. God is the Creator and the Creation, all Life and everything there is. And, I am that I am, I am the Power and the Presence, I am a spiritual being having a human experience in a spiritual Universe. I am created in the spiritual image and likeness of Spirit as I live, move and have my being in Spirit.

And just as I am perfect, whole and complete, I know that each and everyone is Perfect, Whole, Complete, Eternal and Immortal. I declare that each and everyone realizes the Presence of God by practicing the Presence. Good is real and is available for each and everyone. I affirm that all embrace the Truth that sets them free, as each and everyone forgives themselves and everyone else and accepts the Good and the Love that are always available. I know that each and everyone seeks to see the Good in every situation and desires the highest and best for all concerned through the realization that each and everyone is the activity of God as Love in the world. I declare that each and everyone causes more peace and harmony to be manifest in their lives and in the world.

I am so exceedingly grateful for the Truth that sets everyone free and the Love and the Goodness that is manifested everywhere. I am so grateful for the forgiveness, and acceptance by each and everyone of their divinity. I am so grateful for the awakening of each and every soul to the One Life and the peace and harmony manifest in the world. I speak my word into the Law, where it is already known in the Mind of God and will not return unto me void. I give thanks that this is so and so it is.
