Time Travel

Treatment by Ed Preston, RScP

Albert Eisenstein thought Time doesn’t really exist.  He said “Time is just what keeps one d—m thing after another from becoming every d—m thing at once.”  For me, time is like thought, it is a product of the Mind, and very real.  I’ve done alot of time travel, just in the past week.  I went to the little town   of Washington, Michigan, to attend my 60th High School Reunion and visit old friends. I also got to visit the house that I grew up in from ages 8 to 21.   I saw friends from 60 to 70 years ago.  I sat in the dining room of my childhood home that had not changed in 70 years.  I toured nearby farms now turned to subdivision after subdivision.  Sometimes time ceased to exist, sometimes it became a monster wave breaking over me. And now I am home again in Virginia, acting like that’s all in the past.

So, pause now and just remember your own childhood and growing up.

Treatment

I come now to celebrate my Mind of God.  It divinely invents and makes time real.  I look back across time to my childhood, God’s childhood, and it feels like looking across an ocean at a mysterious continent.  Christopher Columbus and I become one in time and space and Spirit, as I allow my mind to divinely recognize new moments as new continents.

I accept that my past and my future become one in my present moment.  The distant road from the past, and the mysterious path to the future, unify and become one right now in this spot where I am in this moment.

I realize I am now in my Present Moment, looking at the Sun and the blue sky.  Galileo and I share our space across time in Spirit.  I know almost as much about the sun and moon and stars as he did 400 years ago.   I realize time is real, a real Mystery.  It is a dimension of the Divine.

I say thank you Father Time for being part of my life.  It is my Present Moment that allows me to be so grateful for the vastness of Time, yet I celebrate that vastness with Eckhart Tolle who told me “Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have.”  Thank you Eckhart for being my Father Time

So, I let it be.  The past and the future and the present moment are released into my Divine Mystery.  The past was real in this moment, and the future will be real right now. In the past, this present moment was the future.  In the future, this present moment will be the past.  I just let it all be One right Now.

And so it is.  Amen.

Heal the World – Be God’s Glow

It’s plain to see

This world is heavenly

Be God’s glow.

A few months ago, our center’s Celebration Choir did a “Metaphysical Pops” concert. It went over very well. One of the songs we did was “Heal the World” by Michael Jackson, from which the above is taken. As rehearsals proceeded, I was struck by these lines, and they still pop into my head every now and then.

What does it mean to “be God’s glow”? Well, we are all being It at all times, but we often fail to recognize and live up to it. If God is All, then we cannot be anything but the glow of God. But to really be it, we have to choose it. This means living in accord with our highest and best nature and recognizing that this world is heavenly.

Rickie Byars Beckwith has a song called “I’m Choosing Heaven Today” which can help us find the path to that recognition. When we choose to live in Heaven, we have a heavenly world, a world that works. As Richard Bach tells us in Jonathan Livingston Seagull, “Heaven is not a place or a time; Heaven is being perfect.” And Jesus tells us, “be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.”

What does it mean to be perfect? Obviously, we all make errors. But when we express our highest and best to the fullest extent that we can, we come as near perfection as this world offers. We choose Heaven; we see that this world is Heavenly.

To live in a heavenly world, we must “be God’s glow”. We must shine that light that is ours to shine, that gift that is ours to give. We must be who we want those in our world to be. But when we try to change the world, we often fail miserably. Remember the old story:

A man tried to change the world. He was unsuccessful.

So he tried to change his country. He was unsuccessful.

So he tried to change his community. He was unsuccessful.

So he tried to change his street. Again, he was unsuccessful.

So he tried to change his family. Still, he was unsuccessful.

So he tried to change himself — and he was successful.

And that changed his family.

And his family changed the street.

And the street changed the community.

And the community changed the country.

And the country changed the world.

It is when we shine God’s glow in our own lives that we change our lives and those around us, and that changes the world. And that’s how we get to Heaven.

So be God’s glow. Every moment. Every day.

Perfect, Whole and Complete

Treatment by Rich Kurasiewicz

Fall is here. Kids are back to school and football season has started. The Pope visited and other events. Lots going on everywhere in the physical world. We are busy and yet Spirit remains constant. Daily spiritual practices help to keep the right balance and harmony in our lives. And so we pray…

God is the Power and the Presence. God is the Living Spirit Almighty—in all, over all, around all and through All! God is the Alpha and the Omega and the entire Universe—the Creator and the Creation; all Life and everything there is. I am that I am. I am one with the Father and the entire Universe. I live, move and have my being in Spirit. I am perfect, whole and complete.

Just as I am perfect, whole and complete, I know that each and everyone is Perfect, Whole, Complete, Eternal and Immortal. I declare that each and everyone is at Peace within and without. I know that the Presence of God is available and recognized in the knowing through Faith of the Truth that sets us free. I know that each and everyone is divinely guided, directed, led and protected to their highest good and greatest yet to be as the activity of God in the World as Love and Joy! I declare that Good is available and awaits our acceptance so that our lives are filled with Peace, Love, Joy and Abundance. I know that All is truly well.

I am so very grateful for the Blessings of Spirit and that Peace, Love, Joy and Abundance are accepted and manifest in our lives. I am so very grateful for the Presence of Spirit and the gifts that have been made. I am grateful that each and everyone accepts the gifts and the Truth that sets them free.

And I release my Word unto the Law where it is already known to the Mind of God. I declare that my Word shall not return unto me void.  I give thanks that this is so and so it is!
