Happy Easter Everyone

Treatment by Suzanne Delahaie, RScP

Happy Easter to all.

Easter is, for us in New Thought, the time of renewal of life in nature, and the time to remember that there is only life, life eternal, life forever expanding and changing.
In this time, I look outside and see the new green leaves on the trees outside of our window.   I am in awe, at how something that was so barren and appearing lifeless a few weeks ago, can so quickly be filled with new growth.  It is as though the trees and the flowers are reminding us of the eternal life that awaits the moment to spring forth.  Life was always there, and the moment to spring forth in newness arrives and there it is.
     I now offer this prayer
There is only one life.  It is in this life that we are living, and it is this life that is us.  It is always growing, always new.  I know that as I am one with this life, all that is is one with this life, even that which appears to not be living.   It is a manifestation of the living God, and is living in its own manner.  I live in appreciation and awe of the ever growing, ever expanding universe. I know that God is love and joy.  I feel this love and joy. God’s abundance is ours to have.  Gods peace is ours to feel and to live in.  God as life is ever expanding, ever seeking out new expressions.  I am forever ready to experience the newness of life, to be in awe of the rebirth of life that is ours to behold. I live in gratitude, I am so grateful for this experience, for the knowing that is mine now.  I release this prayer to the universe.
Happy Easter everyone

For Good Friday

Treatment by Rev. Faith Woods

Please take a moment and a breath, and pray with me

As I pray, I sink into the holy space of Love, and deeply relax knowing all is aligned perfectly on this Good Friday. I feel my being expand as the presence of Love beckons me to recognize the fullness of life and the beauty of this moment.

On this day, a well-known and honored holy day, I am grateful for our expansive teachings. I appreciate the words and feelings and actions of those teachers who have consciously stepped away from ideas of limitation and lack, and have embraced the life giving mindsets of love and peace.  I give thanks for the openness, the allowing, and understanding of our philosophy – the awareness of the many paths, and many names of God. I know that there are not enough words to express what the heart knows, so I invite you to breathe in and through that heart space – just allowing Spirit to have its sway.

I give thanks for the Centers of Spiritual Living and the variety of expressions within this group. I know as each person expresses love, God shows up more fully. I know the towns and cities and states and countries and universes and galaxies are forever changed each time a loving word is spoken, an act of kindness is completed, and a conscious connection with the Divine is felt.

Grateful – YES – Thankful YES – at Peace – YES

Releasing this prayer into the magnificent Law that knows exactly how to express these words into form, I relax and say, and so it is, amen.

I choose my thoughts, my reactions, my dreams, my vision for my life.

Treatment by Carol Haave, RScP

I’m reading Wayne Dyer’s book, I Can See Clearly Now.  I have long appreciated his writings and the example of Principle he has demonstrated throughout his life.  It’s worth the read if so inclined.

And so today, I recognize my Oneness with all that is.  I see it in the flowering of the trees and plants.  I hear it in the songs of the birds.  I feel it in the power of the wind.  I smell it in the ocean breeze.  I touch it when I hug my family and friends.  This Oneness is all there is.  We are all that is.  I am all that is.  In this moment I choose my thoughts, my reactions, my dreams, my vision for my life.  I choose to live healthy, wealthy and wise.  I give my best to be the best me I can be, knowing that my contribution is important to the smooth functioning of my community and world.  I can’t always see the reasons why something happens but I know there is a l esson or message in those events that is for me to discover.  Each day, in every way, I am better and better.  As I know this for myself, I know it for each person.  One by one, I make/we make the world a better place and for that I am eternally and optimistically grateful.  Despite appearances to the contrary, all is well in my world.  I release these words now into the Law knowing their Truth and immediate manifestation.  Whatever I need to know or do is made apparent to me now, and I promise to take appropriate action to bring whatever that is to fruition.  Step by step, I am Divinely guided.  Thank you God.  And so it is!

I Accept the Newness of all Things

Treatment by Tim Phares, RScP

Ah, spring.  Finally!

Finally, after a very long winter, the weather feels like spring here in the Northeast.  Dr. Leonard Read, the founder of the Foundation for Economic Education (headquartered in the town where I went to high school), once said, “I have learned never to complain about the weather; it is my way of being thankful that God, and not the government, controls it.”  This winter tested that vow.
We are also drawing close to Easter and before it, Good Friday, which is observed by a practitioner-led vigil at our Center.  This means we are getting close to the end of Lent.  (At Celebration Center, that means “lovingly eliminating negative thinking.”)
It is no accident that Easter occurs in the spring.  This does not only have to do with the historical connection to Passover.  Both are times of renewal.  Both are openings of a renewed life — the blossoming of plants, the renewal of our lives through the rebirth of our consciousness, and as I wrote about last year, the return of the Boys of Summer.  A new season.  Rebirth, renewal, revitalization, restoration.  “Behold, I make all things new.”
What is being made new in your life?  What is your “next thing to do”?  (Thank you, Daniel Nahmod.)  Is it a new job, school, better health?  Whatever it is, it only comes as we accept and remain open.
Are you open for rebirth, renewal, revitalization, restoration in your life today?  Are you ready for that next step?  Can you look it in the face and know that it is yours?
Charles Fillmore, the founder of Unity, said, “I fairly sizzle with zeal and enthusiasm as I spring forth with mighty faith to do that which ought to be done by me.”  He was 94 at the time.  This is the way I would like to age — I have said many times that I plan to die young, at a VERY advanced age.
So we open ourselves in treatment, knowing that whatever is next is simply the greater unfolding of God’s Life in, as, and through us.
There is only One Life.  That Life is god’s Life.  That Life is perfect.  That life is my life now.  It is the life of each and every one of us, in all, as all, through all.
ll that that Life is, It is as me and as each of us right now.  It is expressing abundant wholeness in every way.  That abundant wholeness being the Truth of God, it is the truth of us also.  We are that.  I am that.
And so, I accept spring.  I accept Good Friday and Easter.  I accept a new season and the chase that it brings.  I embrace these things.  I open myself to  rebirth, renewal, revitalization, restoration.  I know that the ever greater is unfolding as and through us here and now.  I accept the newness of all things and the newness that is happening in my life and in the life of all of us.   I give thanks for what was, I eliminate negative thought from my world, and I move forward to the newer and greater, abundantly.
I am thankful for the newness, the sweet smell of life all around, the adventure, the fuller expression that is the spring expressing as and through us now.
In that gratitude, I simply let go, open to the new, and know that as I open to it, it is done, well and abundantly.
And SO it IS!

La Cenerentola – Forgiveness and the Power of Our Word

Suzanne and I are fans of the Metropolitan Opera Live in HD.  It’s a remarkable thing – live, high-definition transmissions of operas from the Met, as they are happening, to movie theaters throughout the country and in 54 countries worldwide.  You’re sitting in your local movie house watching a world-class performance, and the mere act of doing so binds you by a simultaneous experience to people around the world.

A few years ago, we enjoyed a brilliant performance of La Cenerentola  as part of the Met Live in HD series.  La Cenerentola is Gioachino Rossini and librettist Jacopo Feretti’s telling of the Cinderella story.  I am happy to note that another live performance of this opera will be shown as part of the Met Live in HD series on May 10, 2014.  (Cinderella seems popular these days.  The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical of Cinderella – originally written for TV in 1957 – is currently enjoying a successful run on Broadway.)

The metaphysics in this opera amazed me.  We open with Cinderella working and singing a song about a king who had to choose a wife and had three choices.  He chooses the poor girl, the lowest of the three.  (Of course, this turns out to be her own story.)  She sings this at the opening and again near the beginning of the second act.  Is anyone noticing Cinderella’s affirmation here?  She’s affirming the choice of the poor servant girl by the Prince, which ultimately is just what happens to her. This is the power of our word.

Towards the end, Rossini and Feretti turn it into a story of forgiveness.  When the sisters and the stepfather (a Baron) are moaning and whining about the Prince’s choice of Cinderella over either of the sisters to be his wife, he threatens to hurt them for insulting her and for other things.  She intervenes, saying that, if he truly loves her, he will show mercy toward her family.  She has a lovely aria about all that has happened to her and how it has, in that moment, disappeared from her life and she says that “My revenge will be…my revenge is…to forgive them.”  Wow, the power of love, release, and forgiveness.  And she triumphantly becomes a Princess.  Her kindness and forgiveness show her worthiness to marry the Prince (and step into the riches of the Kingdom).

For those intrigued, you can find out more at http://www.metopera.org/hdlive  If you can spare the time to go see it, you might enjoy the gorgeous music and you will find it a wonderful (and beautiful) metaphysical experience.

Aaaaahhhhhhh, Uninspired

Treatment By Ed Preston, RScP

Prelude

As I sit here ready to write, I am feeling totally uninspired.  I think, “That’s got to be good, right now.”  I wander on.  Totally uninspired is being totally ready to just Be and let it Be and, for this moment, release Becoming, the other half of Reality.  Inspiration is a launch into Becoming.  For now I’m “stuck in”, or just at peace in Being Uninspired.  I wander around in Being Uninspired and Uninspired Being.  I find a deep peace that is totally uninspired.  It just is.  I accept it now.  And so I pray.

Treatment

As I sit here divinely uninspired, I know that God is also Divinely Uninspired in this moment.  We un-inspire one another as we become One in Being and release Becoming, for this moment.  I trust that Inspiration will again lead me into Becoming, but for this moment, right here and now I celebrate being uninspired and just Being.  I am Divinely Uninspired and I share that Un-inspiration with God, and with all who read this in their moment, here and now.

I accept that my Oneness with All that is can be best known when I am totally uninspired to Become anything else.   My inspiration and Becomingness lead me into my Universe of Manyness where I celebrate creation in its Many forms.  Yet, right now, I settle back into my Being uninspired and just celebrate my simply Being in the Oneness of All of us totally uninspired creators as we just celebrate Being in this moment.

So, reality seems to be two fold:  Being and Becoming, Uninspired and Inspired, Now and What’s Next?,  Here and Where to?.  I accept this two-foldedness of my Reality and I share it with all who read this because I am so totally uninspired and at peace that Oneness and Twoness and Manyness are all just part of Being and BecomingUninspired and Inspired.  Sometimes I’m Uninspired and just Being in total peace.  Sometimes I’m Inspired and Becoming something new as I create with God.  I know we all are both Being and Becoming Divine as we shift through time and space and other dimensions of Reality.

So, I again celebrate my Being Uninspired in this moment and just accept it with gratitude.  Tomorrow I will become something, if I get inspired.  For right now, I am grateful for just Being Uninspired to do anything except wander around in Un-inspiration and just Be.  I say “Thank you, God” for both Being and Becoming and for the peace I find right now from just Being Uninspired and Being who I am in this moment.

I release any need to be inspired and to become something else, in this moment, as I also release these words into the Law of life.  Even “Law” is really “Laws”, so I accept the Manyness of a beautiful tomorrow, and celebrate the Oneness of this moment of Uninspiration.  I let it be, and so it is.

We are all one with the divine perfection of God expressed as the mist and fog.

Treatment  by Frank Mastoris
Today as I was driving home, I was enjoying the mist and fog.  It reminded me of how God is nurturing all expressions of itself.  So today I treat.
There is one complete divine expression.  It expresses itself as everything including the mist and fog.  That mist and fog is God.  God in it’s multiple expressions.
I  am one with this thing called God.  It expresses through me, as me and through all form.  I too am expressed and nurtured by the mist and fog.  I to am God.
As I know this about myself, I know this about each person who is part of and has ever visited the Celebration Center.  We are all one with the divine perfection of God expressed as the mist and fog.  We are all nurtured by God and we are nurturing the world of form around us because it’s all God.  God nurturing itself, with itself.
I give thanks to God for the Gift of itself expressed through all life.  I give thanks for the Gift of God expressed as each of us.
I release this to the law knowing we are all that God is and so it is.

I am fully awakened to what I am. I am an activity of God.

Treatment by Rev. Trish Hall

This morning on our daily prayer call, I set the intention to remain keenly alert in order to recognize God in expression everywhere. As my day draws to a close, I am delighted to report that I consciously kept my intention in the forefront of my mind throughout the day.  In so doing I moved through the day with grace and ease with surplus energy.  I did notice when I became distracted, moments here and there when my resolve weakened and my mind wandered.  I also noticed by contrast how Spirit nudged me back into alignment with my intention. Off track I found a sudden sense of fatigue, the joy of being alive seemed to vanish and grace and ease I had felt earlier in the day sort of dwindled, I lost my enthusiasm.  Each time I did a course correction and got back in alignment with my intention, my energy rose, I was filled with joy, I moved through my activities with ease and delight and my enthusiasm bubbled back over the top.  I had become my own barometer.  I heard a voice inside my, rather chiding me, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God …,”  “It’s God’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” And “All things are possible for those of great faith.”  So I added to my intention:  “In all things be thankful.”  Gratitude served as my super-charger throughout the balance of my day.  I relaxed into it so completely that I surprised myself with what I accomplished this glorious day.

Aligning with Dr. Holmes’ declaration, “Ours is a simple faith,”  my prayer for today is a simple prayer:

In utter faith and complete convicti on, I know there is Only THE One that is the Source and the Totality of All That Is.

Knowing that It is ALL there is and reaffirm that I am Its expression … I activity in this form.  I am inseparable from it for It is the essence of me.

What is true of me is true of all of creation for the Creator is in, as, around, through and throughout each and every particle of its entire creation.

All is “of” God

On behalf of each person reading this prayer, I now fully embrace and embody the Truth of what I have just declared.  I am fully awakened to what I am.  I am an activity of God. I behave accordingly. I live and move and love and have my being in conscious communion with the Divine at all times.  My God awareness causes my day to unfold perfectly,

I am grateful for knowing the Truth and for the God-based boldness to declare it to the world!  I am grateful for Life!

In absolute confidence, I now release this prayer to the Law of Mind Action, knowing it is already known in fulfillment in the Mind of God.  It cannot return void!

I lean in, relax, and know it is so!

And So It is

I delight …

I know that the journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step

Prayer by Peter Fitzner, RScP

There is a power for transformation in the Universe, and we can use it!  As we transform ourselves individually, those around us cannot not change.  Therefore, our change impacts and changes our relationships, our families, our communities and our world.

I know that all there is is God.  Present everywhere, in everyone and in everything.  Omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent.  The Indescribable Infinite, limited only by our experience of it, for as soon as we try to describe God, we place limits upon that which is infinite.

Knowing that God is all there is, I know that each of us is and must be one with and inseparable from God.  Each of us created in the image and likeness of God, and each of us imbued with God qualities, available to us to be used to the extent we open to and accept them.  Love, peace, joy, prosperity, abundance, wisdom, knowledge and many more are our birthright.  There is a Universal Intelligence that acts upon our thoughts and our prayers.  Each of us uses that Universal Intelligence to co-create our experiences.

So I know about myself, about everyone at Celebration Center, and about everyone, everywhere, that we are a transformative force in the universe.  We examine our beliefs knowing that we can choose to keep them just as they are, or we can release those beliefs that no longer serve us and replace them with new beliefs.  I see this change as Divinely guided and blessed.  I see it happening easily in all of our lives.  I see us open to the experience of transformation individually, and as we are each transformed, those around us observe the changes and are also changed.  As this transformation spreads, what started in one individual multiplies exponentially, and the entire world is transformed.  I know that the journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step, and I see each of us Divinely inspired to take that first creative step toward transformation.  I see us open to receive all of the Good in the universe right now.

In gratitude for knowing these truths, I release my word into the action of the Law,  which acts upon our thoughts and prayers making them manifest.  I know that the law always works and that my words cannot return to me void.

I let go and let God, knowing it is already done!

 And so it is!

I celebrate the cycle of life and the renewal of spring.

Treatment by Leslie Waldrup, RScP
As most of you know, my mother has been diagnosed with lung cancer. While this is sad news, I have taken this as an opportunity to reevaluate some of my beliefs and values. I have released somethings that are not serving me and embraced some that are. As I have released them, a heavy burden has been lifted from me and I have focused on the things that matter to me in my life.
Today as I sit down to write this prayer, I know the power and presence of God. The power is the oneness of all; the energy that flows through life. I am one with this power and draw on this strength. I know this oneness of God not just for me but for everyone, everywhere. We are all divine expressions of creation. We are all one.
As I feel this energy all around me, the joy that is present in the spring flowers fighting to appear. I feel the happiness in the sound of the chirping birds announcing their presence.  I hear the laughter as people come out to experience the warm weather and the warmth of the sun on their faces. I know the abundance of life as I look around at the amazing colors appearing from everywhere. I celebrate the cycle of life and the renewal of spring. I look around and soak it all in and know it is all God!
I give great thanks that I am here to celebrate each day and all the wonders that God has to offer. I release all the thoughts that have wade me down and as they are released, I feel the uplifting of my heart and the joy engulf me.   I take the time to smell the roses and enjoy the sweet sent. I give great thanks for life.
From this place of pure gratitude for the wonders that God has given us, I release me word knowing it is so
And so it is
